Layla had a good birthday!

I should have done this a few weeks ago, hopefully I will get thank you cards done today also.
Layla had a great birthday and all who were here. She got a lot of toys and clothes and books. Which she has enjoyed. She has played and we have read.

But she was ok.
She had to "scratch" the cake.
She had fun feeding me the cake.
So all in all she had a great time, we had a great time. Now we are looking forward to many more birthday parties in the years to come. Oh and I have to show Aunt Manda's present to Layla. Her Lady Bug birthday cake. Which was awesome!!!

Stay at home mom

In a week from tomorrow I will officially be a stay-at-home-mom. I am very excited, scared and even a little sad. I have always worked. I have always had "my own" money. I am gonna miss most of my co-workers. But the trade-off is soo much better. I get to stay home with my daughter. SHe doesn't ahve to do to daycare, yet. I know at some point she will but not yet.
 I can't wait.

1 Year Old!!!1

I was gonna do this Thursday, but it just didn't happen.
Layla is 1 year old. It is hard to believe that it has been a year. Crazy. But Layla has come a long way from the itty bitty thing she was when she was born.
Born at 35wks on 03-04-09 at 12:02am
Weight 4lbs 13ozs
Height 18ins
Issues - Destats and feeding. Had to have o2 for a while with an oxihood. (Strange looking thing made her look like she was in a bubble.) IV's for fluids and antibotics. On monitors for heart and breathing. Had to learn to eat and breath at the same time. VSD and a "floppy windpipe" . Reflux
Labeled Failure to Thrive at 1 month old.

1 Year 03-04-10
Weight 18lbs 4ozs
Height 27.5 ins
Issues - Still reflux and not so much a "floppy windpipe". Slow to gain weight but gains most of the time.  No longer labeled Failure to Thrive.
My little Layla Bug is growing and learning everyday. She does something new everyday. She amazes me.
